Fly to Cape Town in July and you could witness the South African International Documentary Festival.
Held over three weeks in two locations - Johannesburg from July 14th to July 23rd and Cape Town between July 21st and August 6th - the festival is entirely dedicated to documentaries and is the only one of its kind in South Africa.
Budding filmmakers will have the opportunity to attend a range of workshops and lessons hosted by experienced directors, as well as attend screenings of documentaries from around the world.
However, the only work to be premiered will be that produced by South Africans.
Visitors to the festival, along with academics and other industry professionals, will also have the opportunity to quiz filmmakers on their work over the course of the three weeks.
