This summer will see
Sydney host the 17th Australia International Music Festival.
Taking place between June and July, the weeklong event will see a range of performances from amateur orchestras, wind bands and school choirs.
Some of the most well-known venues in the city will be used to host the concerts, allowing musicians who have been selected through audition and do not perform professionally to play in some of the city's most prestigious venues.
However, the festival will also spill into the streets, with participants playing in wine bars at the Darling Harbour and at the National Maritime Museum, in addition to the more established locations such as the Sydney Opera House.
Fly to Sydney and you could witness some of the performances, as all concerts being held as part of the festival are open to the public.
