Those looking for a luxurious venture into Outer
Mongolia could be in luck as plans for a new resort and country club near the capital
Ulaanbaatar have been announced.
The three-storey, all-season lodge which will be based 35 kilometres from
Ulaanbaatar, will provide tourists flying into northern Asia with opportunity to experience the beauty and the wilderness of the Mongolian Steppe in unique comfort.
The 700 meter square lodge is the latest project from Mongolian Resorts, an American-owned company which runs tours across Mongolia, to destinations such as the Gobi Desert and Karakorum and also to the more adventurous places including the Tavn Bogd Mountain range and the areas in western Mongolia where the Kazakh people live.
The new camp will offer visitors the chance to experience Quad bike riding, horse riding, hiking, jeep tours and bird watching, as well as many other activities and trips.
Mongolia, famously the birth place of Ghengis Khan, shares its borders with China and Russia and the country has both conquered and been captured by the Chinese and the Russians throughout its long history.
