The ancient Hungarian city of Budapest is the place for cultural travellers this summer as three beautiful venues around the city play host to the annual 'Budafest'.
Fly in for Budapest's 15th annual summer music festival from July 4th to August 18th when music lovers will have the opportunity to experience everything from flamenco to Puccini in the open air surroundings of the Basilica in St Stephen's square and the Hilton Dominican Court, as well as within the Hungarian State Opera House.
Beginning with a Ballet Gala, with performances by soloists from the Hungarian State Opera, at the Hilton, the festival continues with various concerts of both classical and more diverse music.
Budafest then culminates with two performances of the ballet of The Taming of the Shrew at the Opera House, following versions of Puccini's Tosca and Verdi's Otello.
