Fly to Boston in July and celebrate the nation's day of independence in true historical style.
Independence Day in
Boston, which is celebrated nationwide on July 4th with fireworks and barbeque parties, sees the annual public reading of the original declaration of independence from the balcony of the city's Old State House.
Head into
Boston and join the crowds to get a taste of history, as captain commanding of the Ancient and Honourable Artillery Company reads the famous words, on the very spot where they were first declared on July 18th 1776.
The Old State House, which dates back to 1713, was at one time the centre of political life in Boston and is now run as a history museum.
Visitors to Boston can also experience the fourth of July celebrations aboard the 208-year-old warship, the USS Constitution, which will make a day-long cruise around Boston Harbour.
