Wine lovers should
fly to San Francisco this August for the largest Californian wine tasting event in the world.
The annual Family Winemakers San Francisco tasting this year takes place on August 20th and 21st in the festival pavilion in the city's Fort Mason Centre.
With around 1,000 wines to sample from wineries all across California, visitors should note that only Sunday August 20th is open to the public, the 21st is reserved for trade buyers.
Around 300 different producers will be wining and entertaining around 3,000 visitors over the two days, at an event which is designed to showcase the state's small wine producers.
The event is organised by the Family Winemakers of California, which was formed to give a voice to small-scale producers and protect their rights and interests in producing, marketing and selling their products.
