Thrill-seekers and alternative sport enthusiasts should
fly to Los Angeles this August for the 11th annual summer X-Games.
Held at the Staples Centre in
Los Angeles from August 3rd to 6th, the three day event showcases some of the world's best extreme and alternative sportsmen and women, as well as a host of bands and live music.
The sport is given an even sharper edge as more than 300 alternative athletes will all be competing for prize money of around £500,000.
Sports on show include skateboarding, with vertical ramp, big air, street and best trick competitions, BMX stunt bike riding on dirt, park and vertical ramps, Moto X stunt motorcycle riding, wakeboarding and surfing.
Visitors to the X-Games can witness as men and women in all categories perform tricks thick and fast on the specially designed street course, hit huge heights on the half pipes contorting themselves with flips and spins, or catching waves in the wake of a speed boat.
