Film fans and travellers
flying to Chicago in August should make sure they spend a Tuesday night in the city as the seventh annual Chicago Outdoor Film Festival is set to run once again for six weeks through the summer.
Considered to be very much a
Chicago tradition, this year's cinematic selections will be shown every Tuesday night from July 18th, starting after 20:00 local time, in Butler Field in the city's Grant Park.
Admission is free to all the movies, which will be shown on a giant outdoor screen with a state-of-the-art sound system, to ensure the experience can be enjoyed by everyone.
The film season opens with the classic James Dean movie, Rebel Without a Cause, which will be attended by celebrity movie critics, Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper.
The movie schedule continues with such cinematic classics as High Noon, The Apartment and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Uniquely, the event also offers free bicycle valet parking, for conscientious travellers and tourists.
