Elvis fans may want to grab themselves a
flight to Memphis, Tennessee this August to experience the annual event that is Elvis Week at the king's spiritual home of Graceland.
Jump on a
flight to America and join the annual memorial pilgrimage to what some regard as the home of rock and roll, for the anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.
The week of events to commemorate Elvis' life and work, which ended with his untimely death aged 42 on August 16th 1977, begins this year on Tuesday August 8th with a 'fan appreciation day' held at Elvis' birthplace.
Elvis Week continues with various meetings, forums, receptions, bus tours and musical events, as well as a two-day conference at the Memphis Marriot East for the Official Elvis Insiders.
For seven consecutive days fans can eat, drink, dance and listen to as much Elvis as they like in the home of the king, with advance tickets available for all of the events available from the
official Elvis website.
