Classical music lovers may want to head to
Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, in mid-August this year.
Between August 10th and August 20th, the annual Amsterdam Canal Festival, known as the Grachtenfetival, takes place along the city's main canals.
Performances of classical music are provided on each of the nine days, culminating with the Prinsengracht concert, which is held on a floating stage.
In total, over 70 concerts are held across 20 different
Amsterdam locations, presenting music from the Netherlands and other international countries.
The properties along Amsterdam's canal play host to the ultimate performance of the festival, when a series of classical music shows take place on their roof-terraces and gardens.
In addition, those who take a
flight to Amsterdam with their children can also enjoy a mini-version of the festival.
The Children's Grachtenfestival, a side show of the main event, is directed at toddlers and youngsters.
