Whether into opera, dance or alternative comedy, travellers should take a
flight to Edinburgh this August as Scotland's internationally popular festival of the arts once again takes over the city.
Spread across six key venues in the city of
Edinburgh, which include the Usher Hall, the Festival Theatre, the Edinburgh Playhouse, the Queen’s Hall and the Hub, the annual festival programme in made up of world-class theatre, classical music, opera and dance performances.
Now in its 59th year, the Edinburgh Arts Festival will commence on August 13th with a performance by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at the Usher Hall.
Visitors to the festival can also enjoy some alternative entertainment at the city's Fringe Festival.
Running concurrently alongside the main festival, the Fringe has the founding principle of open-access for all performers and has increasing numbers of award-winning performers and spectators alike.
