Travellers taking a
flight to San Francisco this September can catch a free performance or two as the city's annual free Shakespeare in the Park season returns.
From September 2nd to 24th, the Parade Ground in Presidio Park will play host to a season of Shakespeare's magical tragedy, The Tempest,
Perfomance will take place every Saturday at 7.30pm and Sundays at 2.30pm, with extra performance on the Labour Day holiday.
No tickets are required and access is free with seating on the lawns being organised on a first-come first-served basis.
Combining fantasy and shipwreck, magical creatures and political intrigue with unrequited love, the story of the Tempest is arguably one of Shakespeare's finest.
Began in 1983, the Free Shakespeare in the Park in
San Francisco is now regarded as one of America's major free Shakespeare events.
