Racing dragons in Miami
Holidaymakers with a passion for the exciting sports and Asian culture, planning to fly to Miami in October are in for a treat.
On October 14th and 15th, between 09:00 and 18:00 local time, the fourth annual South Florida Dragon Boat Festival will be taking place at Haulover Park & Marina in Miami beach.
Visitors to Miami have the chance to see the exciting spectacle of hosts of teams bringing a 2000-year-old tradition to life and competing in fabulously decorated dragon boats, throughout the two day festival.
Organised by the United Chinese Association of Florida, there will also be numerous other social and cultural activities to keep visitors entertained throughout the festival.
Alternative events will include martial arts performances, egg roll eating contests, a children's kite contest, Lion & Dragon Dances and plenty of opportunities to sample authentic Asian food.
