A classical tale for an historic setting

A classical tale for an historic setting
For a unique operatic experience travellers should fly to Cairo in October for the Cairo Opera House's production of Aida.

The performance of Verdi's historic opera, which is to be staged between October 10th and 12th in front of the pyramids at Giza, near Cairo, offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to see the spectacular theatrical musical event in the perfect setting.

The opera tells the story of two star-crossed lovers, Egyptian captain Radames and the captured Ethiopian slave-girl, Aida and was originally written for the Cairo Opera House in 1871, making it the perfect Egyptian experience for such an amazing location.

Classified as one of the seven ancient wonders of the world, the three pyramids at Giza form part of the necropolis of Memphis, of which the Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest.
