British Airways (BA) has announced that it is to add another flight to its current service to the Canadian city of
Calgary.
The carrier will from December 1st provide travellers with five Boeing 777 flights per week to
Calgary, BA's fourth destination within Canada, flying out of London Heathrow.
Over the last 18 months
BA has launched three new long haul routes, including the Calgary service, with Shanghai and Bangalore having been added to the list.
Director of planning at British Airways, Robert Boyle, said: "Calgary is an important business and leisure destination. Alberta has a growing oil and gas industry and Calgary is the gateway to the Canadian Rockies which a large number of holidaymakers visit throughout the year."
BA will also offer travellers three flights a day to Toronto, 13 flights a week to Vancouver and ten flights per week to Montreal throughout the summer, out of Heathrow Airport.
The airline has also recently extended its online check-in facility to enable families to check-in children and infants, via the ba.com website, up to 24 hours before flying.
