The pirates of the Caribbean will be brought to life for visitors planning to
fly to the Cayman Islands this November.
As part of the National Festival of
Cayman Islands the Caribbean islands will be playing host to all things pirate-related for eleven days from November 9th to 19th – the only event of its kind in the Caribbean region.
Visitors to the
Cayman Islands can enjoy street dances, live music, games and costumes throughout Pirates Week, the highlight of which is the 'pirate invasion'.
As part of the annual festivities two traditional sailing ships, loaded with "pirates" will sail into George Town harbour for a "surprise attack" creating an exciting family-friendly spectacle, whether you choose to just watch or take part.
There will also be a Pirate week parade, various sports events, heritage days and fireworks displays, a local song contest and plenty of traditional Caribbean music throughout the festival to give visitors a true flavour of the region.
For more information check out the
Pirates Week website.
