A merry Christmas in Budapest

Festive cheer for all can be found by hopping on a flight to Budapest and visiting the city's Christmas market.

Located at the heart of the city in Vorosmarty Square, a plethora of stalls are set up between November 25th and Christmas Eve to sell a variety of food, drink, gifts and more.

Traditional arts and crafts goods made entirely from natural materials are peddled to visitors looking for an unusual but well-made gift, while fresh Christmas foods such as mulled wine, honey cake, pastries and strudels provide ample sustenance for a hard day's shopping.

Visitors can also enjoy the best folk music and arts that Budapest has to offer, with an outdoor stage providing the setting for more than 150 puppet shows, concerts and performances.

In addition, special attractions such as a crib containing live animals and a giant Advent wreath ensure that there is something for all the family to enjoy.
