Travellers
flying to the Caribbean for some winter sun can seize the opportunity to take up the challenge of the Cayman Islands Marathon.
Taking place on December 3rd, the marathon consists of the full 26-mile race, as well as a half-marathon and a relay race.
Runners can benefit from the added entertainment of steel drum bands along the route, as well as stunning local scenery.
The race begins and finishes in the Waterfront area of Georgetown, where a party for those who successfully complete the race is held after the event.
And those who fear having to run in searing hot temperatures can rest easy, as this marathon in
the Caribbean takes place on a relatively mild day, with temperatures at around 21 degrees Celsius.
