Holidaymakers
flying to Chicago this winter can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the city's tenth annual Christkindlmarket, held from November 23rd to December 24th.
The German-style Christmas market hosts stalls selling an array of gifts for all the family, including ornaments, wooden toys, leather goods and knitwear.
In addition, the market provides entertainment in the form of live glassblowing and wood carving, music shows and more.
The Children's Lantern Parade, hosted by the Christkindlmarket and German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, also offers something different for young ones to enjoy.
And as you might expect from any Christmas-themed market, a variety of traditional food and drink is available, including Austrian strudel, potato pancakes, beer and spiced wine.
Located in the heart of
Chicago, the market typically attracts over one million visitors every year, making for an extremely lively ambience.
For more information, see the
Christkindlmarket website.
