Horse racing fans
flying to Dublin this December will enjoy themselves at one of the city's most famous races – the Christmas Festival.
The event stretches across four days from December 26th (St Stephen's Day) and attracts thousands of visitors to the Leopardstown Racecourse everyday.
Races include the Durkan New Homes Novice Chase, Paddy Power Chase, Future Champion Novice Hurdle, Lexus Chase, Christmas Hurdle, Ascon Novice Chase and the Bewleys Hotels December Festival Hurdle.
Jockeys, owners and trainers traditionally use this
Dublin race meeting to prepare for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, ensuring that a wealth of talent is always on show.
With the total prize fund for all the races standing at about €1.2 million last year, spectators are guaranteed to be thrilled by the competition for the top spots in each contest.
For more information, see the
Leopardstown Racecourse website.
