Travellers hopping on a
flight to Los Angeles this winter will enjoy the delightful sights and sounds of the Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade.
Taking place on December 9th and 10th, this extravaganza of an event features a number of boats of all shapes and sizes circling the main channel of the marina while decked out in festive finery.
Star Light, Start Bright is the theme for this year's parade, which is sure to result in some eye-catching vessels competing for the chance to win one of the event's many prizes.
Visitors to
Los Angeles wanting to find the best spot from which to view the festivities should try Burton Chace Park, which hosts the judges' viewing stand and entertains the audience with music and a running commentary on the proceedings.
Spectators can also watch the parade from the comfort of one of several restaurants nearby, including El Torito, Shanghai's Red, Sapori and Angler's Choice.
For more information on the event, see the
Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade website.
