Virgin Atlantic has won two top titles at this year's Business Traveller Awards.
Readers of Business Traveller magazine voted for the airline to win the Best Business Class and Best Premium Economy awards.
It was the first airline to come up with the premium economy concept, which offers the comfort of first-class seating for a moderate price, in 1992.
"We are delighted that Business Traveller readers have recognised Virgin Atlantic in this way," commented Steve Ridgway, chief executive of
Virgin Atlantic.
"These awards show that Virgin Atlantic's innovative products, in upper class and premium economy, are the clear favourites for long-haul travellers."
Virgin Atlantic's upper class product features a luxury leather chair that transforms into a bed with a mattress, rather than a fully-reclining seat.
The airline also announced this week that it has launched a new magazine for its upper class passengers.
Due to launch next month, Travel Notes is a bi-monthly publication that allows readers to interact with the content through freeform notes and drawings.
