Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced a new direct route between
Stockholm and
Beijing, which will open in April next year.
The route is the latest addition to a roster of flights that includes paths between
Copenhagen and Beijing and between Copenhagen and
Shanghai.
The new flight will operate four times a week through the Airbus 340, which will depart from Stockholm late at night.
"We are eager to be flexible and operate flights on routes demanded by customers," commented Lars Lindgren, president of SAS International.
"Since our direct routes to Shanghai and Beijing from Copenhagen are highly appreciated, we see great potential in the Stockholm-Beijing route."
The flight to Beijing will be able to carry passengers in three different classes: business, economy and economy extra.
Economy extra allows passengers to benefit from better seating and quicker security control.
Earlier this month, SAS announced a new flight between
Madrid and
Stuttgart.
