British holidaymakers would most like to go on holiday with Peter Kay, according to a new survey.
The Bolton comedian came top of a list compiled by Barclays Insurance that had Keira Knightley and George Clooney as the runners-up.
British celebrities dominated the survey, with Robbie Williams, Joanna Lumley and Davina McCall also featuring.
But while females favoured attractive members of the opposite sex as their companions, most men seemed to prefer travelling with a fellow male.
"It seems that Brits are more interested in having fun and sharing a laugh with the likes of Peter Kay and Dermot O'Leary than opting for the glamour of film stars or supermodels," said Mark Till, marketing director for Barclays Insurance.
"For most of us, our holidays are the precious moments when we get away from it all to enjoy time away from work and the daily routine."
A separate poll by Travellersconnected.com recently found that Elvis is the companion of choice for gap year travellers.
