Travellers catching a
flight to Denver this Christmas will be able to enjoy the annual Parade of Lights through the downtown part of the city.
Taking place on December 1st and 2nd, the event consists of a host of floats, marching bands, special performers and giant balloons parading along a two-mile route through
Denver.
As you would expect, the parade and the city are brightly lit up in numerous different colours, offering a stunning visual experience for the 350,000-strong crowd.
Spectators can view the parade for free from the streets or buy a ticket to sit in the grandstand, which offers a unique view of the proceedings at the start of the parade route.
The grand finale of the parade sees Santa travelling the streets in a sleigh piled with presents.
Elsewhere in
Denver, visitors can also enjoy a range of pubs, restaurants, shops, galleries and more both before the after the main parade.
Check out the
Parade of Lights website for more information.
