Just the Flight: cheap flight reservations and airline tickets at bargain fares for scheduled and last minute charter flights from the UK and Europe

Finnair picked as Japanese favourite

Finnair picked as Japanese favourite
Readers of AB-ROAD magazine in Japan have voted Finnair as their favourite western airline.

The survey asked for readers' top ten worldwide airlines and Finnair placed after Asian carriers All Nippon, Singapore Airlines and Japan Airlines.

Voters placed the airline at the top of the categories for food, inflight service and whether they would like to fly with the airline again.

One particularly favourite factor was the fact that Finnair often serves meals that attempt to appeal to Japanese customers on its flights to and from the country.

Other airlines mentioned in readers' top ten lists included Emirates, Aircalin, Virgin Atlantic, Eva Airways and Cathay Pacific.

Finnair operates a number of flights from northern Europe to Japanese destinations such as Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, with more paths planned for next spring.

Earlier this month, the airline announced that passenger traffic on its Asian flights increased by 40 per cent in August.
