Almost half of male Australians have flirted with an air hostess during a flight, a new survey has revealed.
The poll by Zuji also found that while 14 per cent of females have flirted inflight, almost a quarter of Aussie women have fantasised about getting together with the male attendant of their choice.
Around 45 per cent of respondents said that they continue to flirt after landing and have holiday flings, with French accents voted as the sexiest for both males and females.
However, the survey also showed that there remains a number of old-fashioned romance fans in
Australia - 67 per cent of women and 59 per cent of men said they thought it would be most romantic to be proposed to while on holiday.
Last minute preparations seem to be favoured by both sexes, with over half of all those surveyed admitting to packing for their holiday the night before departure.
"This survey has provided plenty of interesting and amusing insights into the ways in which men and women differ in their travel routines, inclinations and of course, fantasies," commented Peter Smith, general manager of Zuji Australia.
Earlier this year, a survey by Roy Morgan Research found that Australians believe
Melbourne to be the best holiday destination in the country.
