Owners of the PlayStation Portable (PSP) gaming console will soon be able to buy a series of travel guides to interact with on the go.
Lonely Planet has announced that it is teaming up with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) to produce six guides covering some of the most popular destinations in Europe.
PSP owners across the globe will be able to access in-depth travel information on how to have the perfect weekend break in
Amsterdam,
Barcelona,
London,
Paris,
Prague and
Rome when the Passport To… range of guides is launched.
"The Passport To… guides are the ultimate travel companion, combining the tried and trusted knowledge of Lonely Planet with the latest in stylish portable interactive entertainment through PSP," said Natasha King, product manager for the guides at SCEE.
"With engaging, bespoke, mixed-media content for travel-bug weekenders, our Passport To… audience can ensure that their destination entertains them."
The guides will use a mixture of written, visual and audio content to provide details on hundreds of venues, bars, shops and attractions, as well as offering interactive maps, tours and basic language lessons.
