Fans of historical re-enactments will love
flying to Denver and travelling to nearby Georgetown for its Christmas market on the weekends of December 2nd and 9th.
The market recreates Christmastime on the European continent from 100 years ago, complete with rustic foods, horse-drawn chariot rides and Victorian costumes.
St Nicholas puts in an appearance to delight young and old alike and visitors witness the daily Santa Lucia procession.
Shoppers can enjoy choosing unique gifts from a wide range of handcrafted goods, including decorations, vintage clothing, Victorian household items and antiques.
Sightseers will be able to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of historic attractions such as the Hotel de Paris and the Georgetown Energy Museum.
Visitors to the market can also head into neighbouring
Denver for even more shopping and Christmas revelry when the market is closed during the week.
Check out the
Historic Georgetown website for further information.
