Visitors to
Belfast looking for some cosmopolitan fun should head to the city's annual Christmas Continental Market.
The event takes place between November 22nd and December 19th, and uniquely splits the front lawns of the City Hall into three distinct areas: German Village, Irish Village and European Village.
Each area features an array of entertainment, gifts, food and crafts relating to its own theme, providing a haven for Christmas shoppers looking for something a little different for their loved ones.
Stalls are set up wooden chalet-style and are decorated with thousands of twinkling fairy lights and candles, giving the event a real festive feel.
Each stall offers a wide range of goods, including French perfumes, Swedish glogg and German beer, specifically brought over to
Belfast from the continent for visitors to the market.
After all the presents have been bought, families can enjoy a number of performances from local and international choirs, bands and arts groups, providing a welcome rest for weary feet.
