Culture vultures hoping for an arts-filled festive period could find what they are looking for at this year's Tollwood Winter Festival at the Theresienwiese in
Munich.
The festival runs from November 29th to December 31st and features a dazzling array of theatre and dance performances from both street theatre groups and international stars, culminating in a big-name production.
In addition to these performances, visitors to
Munich can peruse the festival's very own Christmas market, which is used by the event's organisers to promote the benefits of environmentally-friendly products, as well as to sell more traditional gifts.
Food lovers can also experience a wide range of cuisines from around the world at the market, making the festival a highly cosmopolitan event.
Travellers staying in
Munich for the new year celebrations might also enjoy the festival's New Year's Eve party, at which revellers indulge in much merry-making to a soundtrack created by a number of live bands and DJs.
For more information, see the
Tollwood Winter Festival website.
