Want to kick off 2007 with a summer party? Then catch a
flight to Australia for Melbourne's annual Summadayze festival on New Year's Day.
This event is the perfect antidote to the winter blues with
Australia set to enjoy another blazing summer at the end of this year.
Thousands of revellers will pack into the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in
Melbourne to party from 09:00 to 23:00 local time to a soundtrack comprising the best of the local and international music scene.
Live and DJ sets from established names such as Judge Jules, Basement Jaxx, Mylo, Bodyrockers, Mousse T and more will feature at 2007's event, along with a host of exclusive DJs yet to be announced.
Stalls selling drinks, ice cream, fruit and savoury food will be on hand to provide festival-goers with ample refreshments between acts, while an area containing water slides and other amusements will be set up to cater for those wanting an alternative to dancing.
This event is so popular it has resulted in offshoot events being held all across Australia and beyond, including in
Perth,
Auckland and
Sydney.
