Travellers looking for a classy way to celebrate the new year should fly to Budapest for the city's popular New Year's Gala Concert.

On December 31st, the stunning Pesti Vigado opens its doors to beautifully-dressed guests for a night of fine food, wine and entertainment.

Artists from the Hungarian State Opera House as well as international stars travel to Budapest to delight the senses of the hundreds of visitors eager to catch a glimpse of some of the most talented opera singers on the continent.

Other entertainment at the concert includes an opening dance show, live bands and a piano bar in the Szekely Bertalan Room.

Guests also have the pleasure of sitting down to a dinner prepared by the globally renowned Gundel Restaurant, which specialises in a host of traditional and contemporary Hungarian dishes.
