Looking for some snow-filled fun this winter? Wrap up warm and hop on a
flight to Minneapolis-St Paul for the Twin Cities' annual Winter Carnival.
Held between January 26th and February 4th in downtown St Paul, this carnival celebrates the icy delights of winter with special rides, sights, attractions and more.
Visitors can attempt to make their way through a giant ice maze, slip down a massive snow slide and gaze at snow and ice sculptures, among other activities.
The Kare11 Winter of Fitness event will also take place at Como Park Ski Hill to enable adventurous sports enthusiasts to try pursuits such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding.
In addition, visitors to
Minneapolis-St Paul can also take part in various competitions, including an ice block carving contest and a half-marathon.
And for those wanting to ward off any numbness during the festival, warming concoctions are available at the Minnesota Hot Dish Tent.
For more information, see the
Winter Carnival website.
