Put off by the thousands of flashy Christmas presents in the shops at the moment? Make a change and
fly to Jersey to buy some real treats at the Genuine Jersey Christmas Fair this year.
This unique fair sells goods that have only been made or grown in the
Jersey area and provides a welcome alternative to joining the crowds already packing out high streets across the UK in the run-up to Christmas.
Taking place on Tuesdays throughout December at the Jersey Pottery in Grouville, the event allows shoppers to peruse a wide variety of gifts and decorations, as well as food and crockery ideal for festive dining throughout the season.
Visitors not so keen on yuletide shopping can instead enjoy a live nativity production, a number of musical performances and various contests and competitions.
And tourists staying in
Jersey before and after the fair can take in the delights of the region's famous La Fete de Noue celebration, which takes place through December and features numerous winter-themed events and displays.

Genuine Jersey Christmas Fair website.
