Experience all things Christmas in one place at the Christmas Days Out event in
Edinburgh this winter.
Between November and January, thousands of visitors and residents alike take to the streets of Scotland's capital to enjoy a range of activities with a festive theme.
These include fun fairs, markets, shows, pantomimes, exhibitions, craft workshops, Santa's grottoes, sports events and more, designed to appeal to both grown-ups and children.
Highlights include a Norwegian advent carol concert on November 23rd, a mid-December Hollywood-style party and the Great Scottish Santa Run on December 10th, which brings the remarkable sight of hundreds of Father Christmas look-alikes stumbling across
Edinburgh towards the finishing line.
And with
Edinburgh also being one of the best locations to celebrate the coming of the new year, visitors staying in the city are ideally placed to enjoy its massive Hogmanay party on December 31st.
For more information, see the
Christmas Days Out website for a full list of events.
