Want to walk and talk like a pirate for a day? Join the pirates of Gasparilla for the wildly popular Gasparilla Pirate Fest in Tampa,
Florida.
On January 27th, this dastardly crew invades the city in the world's only operational pirate ship to kick off a day of buccaneering and treasure-hunting.
Crowds of people join the gang for the Gasparilla Invasion Brunch at the Tampa Convention Center, followed by the Parade of Pirates where the crew hand out some of their treasures to thrilled spectators.
The day ends with the Pirate Fest Street Festival, which sees the marauders and their followers enjoy live entertainment, food, drink and plenty of rides and amusements to delight all attendees on the streets of
Tampa.
For those wanting to give their children a treat, the Gasparilla Extravaganza on January 20th sees children dress up as pirates and take part in their own parades and marches, with special air and fireworks displays also taking place during this spectacular
Florida event.
