Swiss International Air Lines has announced the addition of new flights to
Valencia to its roster.
From March 10th 2007, the airline will operate three flights a week between
Geneva and Valencia, taking its total destination count to 70.
A fourth weekly service will be added on March 25th to coincide with the launch of the carrier's summer timetable.
Because Valencia, the third largest city in
Spain, will host the 32nd America's Cup - a major sailing event - next summer,
Swiss International Air Lines said that it expects demand to be high.
Other recent additions to the airline's schedule include new flights from Geneva to three other European cities –
Stuttgart, Hamburg and
Prague.
Currently,
Swiss International Air Lines runs about 27 flights between the UK and
Switzerland, flying from five British cities to the continent.
The carrier recently announced that members of its Miles & More programme will be able to earn award miles by taking up selected mobile phone tariffs with Swisscom Mobile.
