Holidaymakers hopping on a
flight to Sydney in February will have the pleasure of being able to take part in one of the most spectacular events in the world.
The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is one of the biggest of its kind, putting on more than 100 events between February 2nd and March 3rd.
These events include arts, sports and social events such as the Fair Day for all the family and a pool party with over 1,000 revellers.
However, the biggest event of all takes place on the final day, when hundreds of thousands of spectators cheer on a host of extravagantly costumed marchers through the streets of
Sydney.
The parade then culminates in a massive party at the Royal Hall of Industries in Moore Park, with numerous top DJs and other entertainers keeping the crowd busy until 10:00 local time the next morning.
For more information, see the
Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras website.
