SriLankan Airlines has launched an extra flight between
Colombo,
Doha and
Bahrain.
In an attempt to enhance service standards in the Middle East, the airline added the Friday flight to a schedule that already included two non-stop flights between Doha and Colombo and two more via Bahrain.
SriLankan Airlines now flies to
the Middle East about 46 times a week.
"The additional flight will help meet current demand we are experiencing on flights on the Doha-Colombo route," commented Lakshman Weerasooriya, Qatar manager for the carrier.
SriLankan Airlines launched flights to
Goa and boosted capacity on services to
Bangalore and
Calicut earlier this year.
Services within the Middle East have also been increased by Oman Air's announcement that it will begin flying passengers to
Amman from today.
The new flights will operate on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays, flying non-stop from
Muscat.
