The biggest documentary festival in
Greece takes place at the Olympion Cinema Centre in
Thessaloniki between March 16th and 25th.
Holidaymakers heading to the country should seize the opportunity to attend the acclaimed Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival, which attracts tens of thousands of people to
Greece every year.
The films cover a variety subjects ranging from sweeping perspectives of the wider world to interesting small-scale human interest stories.
Festival-goers will also be able to attend a number of special side events, including exhibitions, seminars, forums and all-night film marathons.
A market for international documentaries also takes place at the festival every year, giving European directors in particular the opportunity to showcase their work to fellow industry professionals.
Visitors to
Greece will find much to enjoy at this fascinating event and should check out the rest of Thessaloniki when they get the chance; as the country's second city, it offers much in the way of culture, nightlife, shopping and more.
