Music fans
flying to Berlin next spring should open their ears to the MaerzMusik festival of contemporary music.
Between March 16th and 25th, new and established artists, bands and orchestras descend on the city to play a wide range of music to the masses, including electronic, orchestral, chamber and experimental compositions.
The festival draws upon different themes every year and next year's event will take on the theme of music from the Alps, contrasting work from the past and the present through a number of special projects.
One such project, Turmmusik, will play at the top of the 207-metre television tower in
Berlin, while a number of Stadtmusik projects will focus on music covering the idea of the metropolis.
This festival presents a great opportunity for music lovers to discover the cream of new and underground talent from
Berlin,
Germany and beyond.
Check out the
MaerzMusik website for more information.
