Fancy a music festival with a difference? Try stepping on a
flight to Oslo for the seventh Oslo International Church Music Festival.
Held between March 16th and 25th, this event is not just for those who like church music in general. These days, the genre consists of an eclectic range of styles, including folk and jazz.
During the festival, a number of artists, bands and orchestras play in a host of beautiful churches and cathedrals, giving visitors to
Oslo the perfect opportunity to gaze at the city's fascinating architecture.
Melodies from as far back as the Middle Ages right up to the present day are covered by these musicians and singers, with performances supplemented by ongoing workshops, seminars and more.
Next year will also see the introduction of the Oslo International Church Music Festival Chamber Choir to the proceedings, adding an extra dimension to this popular event.
Whether you're the religious type or not, this festival offers much for both the casual music lover and the obsessed devotee.
