Visitors to
Denver interested in the ways, culture and traditions of Native Americans should head to the Denver March Pow-Wow next spring.
Taking place between March 23rd and 25th at the Denver Coliseum, this event brings together crowds of Indians and non-Indians to celebrate this ancient heritage via a series of dances, performances, story-telling sessions and more.
Highlights of next year's event are set to include intertribal dancing, a tribal colour guard competition and an arts and crafts market.
In addition, visitors to
Denver will be able to sample some delicious Native American cooking, including frybread.
The Pow-Wow closes with the coronation of the Denver March Pow-Wow Princess and a performance of the event's special song, A Living Hoop.
With more than 700 performers and attendees from 70 different tribes, this event is always an intriguing experience and should not be missed by those travelling to
the US next year.
