Emirates has announced plans to expand its network for services to destinations in the
Middle East.
From March 25th, the airline will add two flights each to its schedules for
Kuwait and
Damascus, while
flights to Beirut will be operated twice a day.
The changes will result in a total of 25 services to Kuwait being in operation, with 500 extra seats to be created through the expansion of routes to Damascus.
"The Middle East, emboldened by a tourism boom and rapid economic development, is posting one of the strongest growth rates in air travel," commented Hamad Obaidalla, senior vice president of commercial operations in the Middle East for
Emirates.
"Emirates is steadily strengthening its operation to cater to the region's robust air traffic growth," he added.
Earlier this month, the airline announced that it is to launch non-stop services to
Venice from July 1st.
