The park is part of Monsanto Forest Park and is dedicated to making its space as natural as possible.

A special fenced-off area within the park is only able to seen by appointment, while other parts of the park welcome all visitors with a host of attractions.

Families visiting this Lisbon park can enjoy nature trails, picnic areas, sports facilities, play areas and much more.

Environmentally conscious holidaymakers can also take a look at a number of exhibitions devoted to issues of conservation and ecology, as well as take part in activities such as building birds' nests, observing animals and learning to classify plants and trees.

Of course, travellers who find themselves yearning for the city again will find much to enjoy outside of the park, as Lisbon boasts a wide array of lively bars and restaurants to cap off the day with.
