Fans of legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan should not pass up the chance to see an exhibition about his early career in
Minneapolis-St Paul.
The touring exhibition by the Experience Music Project comes to the Frederick R Weisman Art Museum at Dylan's alma mater, the University of Minnesota, between February 3rd and April 29th.
Titled Bob Dylan's American Journey: 1956-1966, this exhibition explores Dylan's beginnings as a folk singer and his eventual path through
Minneapolis-St Paul to
New York.
A range of multimedia exhibits are used to portray the young Dylan's life and talents, including music, film, album art, correspondence, photos and musical instruments.
Visitors to
Minneapolis-St Paul will be able to trace his personal and musical development through more than 150 artefacts such as documentaries, unreleased live footage and stories from the likes of Joan Baez, Allen Ginsberg, Al Kooper, Robbie Robertson, Mavis Staples and Izzy Young.
