Fancy a long weekend of admiring the bouquets of countless wines? Try stepping on a
flight to Budapest for the annual Spring Wine Festival at City Hall Park.
Held between April 5th and 9th, this event aims to boost the reputation of Hungarian wines through a seemingly endless parade of tastings, lectures, quizzes, concerts and literary readings.
Wine makers from
Budapest and beyond will compete to win the much-coveted title of Wine of the City, with awards in three categories - red, white and dessert wines - up for grabs.
Visitors be able to vote for their chosen wines and learn a little more about the art of winemaking through a number of short films displayed on a big screen.
And if you end up feeling slightly worse for wear once the festival is over, it might be a good idea to rejuvenate the soul – and body – in one of the numerous spas and thermal baths that
Budapest is world-famous for.

Budapest Tourism Office website for more information.
