While many lovers may be heading to
Paris for Valentine's Day, those looking further ahead may be considering La Nuit des Musees.
For one free night, the city's museums open for free, until 01:00 local time, which offers visitors the opportunity to see some of the country's best collections of contemporary art.
Although the museums taking part in the scheme are not revealed closer to the event - which takes place on May 19th - Whatsonwhen notes that it is "almost certain" an establishment will be available near to a traveller's location.
Created by the department of culture, La Nuit des Musees runs parallel with similar events in other European locations.
However,
Paris is home to the Musee du Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and the Cite des Science et d'Industrie, which could make it a night to remember.
