Barcelona is revving up for the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix, with some of the world's top drivers set to don their helmets and compete.
Taking place at the Circuit de Catalunya, just outside the city, on May 13th 2007,
Spain's current world champion Fernando Alonso will be looking to defend his crown against a host of other talents.
Although Michael Schumacher - considered by many to be the greatest Formula One driver ever - has retired, race fans will no doubt be heading to
Barcelona to watch the up-and-coming drivers aiming to challenge Alonso.
The Spanish Grand Prix is the fourth race in the calendar, with a 66 lap, 4.627 kilometre track and a long straight over the start/finish line where the super-charged vehicles can pick up speed.
Spanish fans regularly turn out in force to support their heroes, with 115,900 spectators attending the 2005 race.
